Yugma TechFest is the flagship technical fest of the Department of Information Science and Engineering, JNN College of Engineering (JNNCE), Shivamogga, organized in association with the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter. It is a platform built to bring together innovation, collaboration, and technology, empowering students to explore, create, and solve real-world challenges.
JNNCE, established in 1980 and accredited with NAAC ‘A’ grade, is known for its strong academic foundation, modern infrastructure, and excellence. The Dept. of IS&E plays a key role in nurturing skilled professionals by promoting research, industry-oriented learning, and technical excellence.
Yugma TechFest 1.0 (2025), marked a historic milestone for the department, featuring its first-ever 24-hour onsite hackathon along with a series of technical events and the official launch of the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter. The three-day fest witnessed participation from over 100 hackathon teams across 26 colleges.
Participants collaborated on real-world problem statements and showcased their skills across various domains. With strong mentorship, industry interaction, and seamless execution, the event successfully fostered creativity, teamwork, and technical growth, while setting a benchmark for future editions.
Building on this success, Yugma TechFest continues to grow as a platform that inspires innovation, leadership, and excellence.

Yugma TechFest is happening on 24th and 25th of July
Yes!, Team must consist minimum of 2 members and maximum of 4 members.
The hackathon is open to all student developers currently enrolled in any recognized college/institute.
Hackathons are a fantastic place to learn! A basic knowledge of coding or programming concepts is required.
Please bring your laptop, charger, and any hardware components you plan to use for your project. Since this is a 24-hour event, make sure to bring your personal essentials for a one-day
