T&P cell has associated with the India career Portal.com of Mumbai. It provides training materials and inform about career planning, higher study etc.. It acts as bridge between employers and students. The link has been uploaded to our college website.

Cell has taken initiative in signing the MOU with TCS-iON. TCS-iON will use our college Infrastructure to conduct Online Exams for Bank’s recruitments.

Cell has sent college brochure to more than 80 companies in last four months. And contacts have been made with these companies.

Personally visited core civil companies PURVANKARA, BRIGADE GROUP, PRESTIGE GROUP, MANTRI DEVELOPERS and JMC Projects on 6-01-2012 and 07-01-2012.

Personally visited Mechanical industries Buhler group and Schneider Electric Bangalore 08-01-2012.

Placement Cell has arranged the seminar on topic “Innovation for the Success” on 02-03-2012 by Dr.Ashok N Prabhu. Former Vice President and MD Sarnoff Corporation New Jersy, USA. More than 120 students from final and pre final year students have taken part in the program.

Attended the Placement Officers meet at HCL, Bangalore on 11-02-2012.

In co-ordination with M/S Adishakti Motors, Shimoga T&P Cell has organized the Job Mela on 24-02-2012 for the diploma and ITI students.

Personally visited Toyota Kirloskar Motors on 26-02-2012.

Personally visited SAI India Bangalore along with selected students in the company on 10-03-2012. Also visited Graphite India Company.

Coordinated the campus Recruitment Drive for the Diploma students on 28-02-2012. More than 100 students have taken part in this drive.

Attended the TCS event “Sparsh” on 30-03-2012 in Bangalore. More than 85 Placement officers from Karnataka and Kerala have attended this program. Interacted with top level management of TCS as well as some of our college alumnae.

Conducted one day workshop for pre final year by Stira Solutions Bangalore on 01-04-2012. 95 students Electrical and Mechanical branches have participated.

Coordinated the JNNCE Alumni Meet “Nenapina Angala 2012” on 29-04-2012.

Placement Cell has arranged the interactive session for the students who got placed in TCS. Talent acquisition group from TCS has addressed the students as well as parents on 05-04-2012. More than 210 people have participated.

Placement cell has initiated the interactive session and coordinated the event on 07-04-2012 with RIIIT, Mysore for the students who have not placed from final year.

Coordinated the On-line Canara Bank Exam on 03-06-2012. 78 officials have appeared for the exam.

Cell is encouraging final year students to take part in coding contests and other online tests.
