ABOUT THE INSTITUTION  :


              Established in 1980 by NES, the College is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Government of Karnataka, being re-accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and accredited by Institution of Engineers (India). Set in a lush green environment of over fifty acres the college has every infrastructural facility that more than adequately, meets the requirements of around 3800 students and 400 staff members

              European Commission has approved JNNCE as Associate Partner under the project "Svāgata.eu" through the India Platform of Ghent University, Belgium and JNNCE would be funded for research and faculty & students study exchange programmes from eight different universities of Europe. JNNCE has signed MOU recently with Chinese institutions.

I am pleased to note that the Departments of Civil Engineering Engg. of our College is organizing a two‐day International Conference on “EMERGING AND SUSTAINABLE TRENDS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING(ESCE-2018)” on 27-28 Septmber, 2018. The conference proposes to promote research and development activities in Multimedia Processing, Communication and Information Technology, and scientific information and knowledge‐sharingamong researchers, developers, engineers, teachers, students and professionals working in these exciting fields in India and abroad.

International & National Advisory Committees, and Technical Programme Committee, comprising of highly distinguished academics, corporate executives and researchers, have been constituted to advise the organizers in conducting the event successfully. Researchers from various research laboratories, industries, academia, and research scholars pursuing their Doctoral / Masters Work have been invited to present their original work and participate in ESCE‐2018, in the academic and serene environs of JNNCE, Shimoga. There will be tutorial sessions on the first day of the conference by experts and scientists in the related areas. Keynote lectures by experts in various fields will inspire the researchers and provide an exposure to various aspects and an opportunity for discussions with distinguished experts. All papers will be published in full in UGC approved Journal and selected papers in Scopus Indexed Journal.

                                                                       It is earnestly hoped that the conference will be of great success in bringing more researchers together and in expanding the knowledge horizons                                                                            and leading to meaningful output for the benefit of the institutions and the society at large.

I am very happy to note that Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) has organized a two‐day International Conference on “EMERGING AND SUSTAINABLE TRENDS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING(ESCE-2018)” on 27-28 Septmber, 2018. Two departments of the institution, in association with a professional organization, are organizing this event. The Conference’s objective to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, and Information Technology to a common forum is highly laudable. The active participation of learned speakers and delegates and the intensive deliberations expected to take place at this programme are bound to inspire the teaching and student fraternity to undertake meaningful and value‐adding research in the proposed domains. I wish the Conference all the success!

The conference seeks to provide a platform to all researchers to interact and share their current and planned research works with the co‐researchers from all over the world, besides showcasing the current developments and future prospects in these exciting technological fields. It thus aims to contribute a lot to the creation of intellectual capital and knowledge‐sharing. The Management of National Education Society has always been encouraging and promoting high caliber research and extension activities by the faculty in its rofessional institutions and the proposed event is one more testimony to this ideal of NES Management. I heartily compliment the organizers of the Conference and wish the event great success!
