Research Initiatives
Chemistry department has been recognized as research centre from VTU, in the year 2013 to pursue Ph.D. (Full Time / Part Time). 2 research scholars were awarded Ph.D and 4 students are perusing their Ph.D. degree programme. A separate research lab with modern equipment’s is established to conduct research in various areas like Analytical Chemistry, Corrosion Inhibition, Bio Energy Conversion, Renewable energy, Electro deposition, Effluent treatment, Nano Technology etc. A grant of 6.0 lakh rupees was received from AICTE under MODROB scheme to modernize the laboratory. Faculty members of the department are regularly publishing their research finding in peer reviewed International Journals and more than 70 research papers were published in International Journal and around 10 papers have been published in National Journals
