Message from the Secretary
The National Education Society® (NES), Shivamogga, founded in 1946 by visionary leaders and freedom fighters who believed that education was fundamental to social transformation, national development and human progress is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhiji. The Society began its journey with a commitment to extending educational opportunities to the people, particularly those in rural areas, and promoting the education of women. This founding philosophy continues to guide our educational endeavours.
Jawaharlal Nehru New College of Engineering (JNNCE) represents the continuation of this enduring legacy in technical and management education. JNNCE strives to make quality professional education accessible while nurturing knowledge, competence, and character.
We believe that the true purpose of education extends beyond academic achievement and career advancement. Education must empower individuals to think independently, act ethically, respect human dignity and contribute to the welfare of the community. Accordingly, JNNCE seeks to foster an educational environment that encourages innovation, research, entrepreneurship, leadership and lifelong learning, while remaining firmly rooted in human values.
The progress of an educational institution is a shared responsibility. Our management, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, industry partners, academic collaborators and well-wishers are integral to this journey.
