The National Education Society® (NES), Shivamogga, was established in 1946 with this conviction at its heart. Rooted in the ideals of service, patriotism and educational empowerment, the Society has grown through the dedication of its founders and the continued support of generations of educators, students and members of the community.

The founding philosophy of NES is founded on a simple yet enduring principle: quality education should create opportunities for personal growth and contribute to the larger good of society. Its commitment to rural education, women's education and the development of accessible educational institutions reflects an understanding that the benefits of education must reach beyond privileged sections of society.

Jawaharlal Nehru New College of Engineering (JNNCE) embodies this philosophy in the field of technical and management education. We recognise that today's graduates must possess not only professional knowledge and technical competence but also integrity, empathy, creativity, adaptability and a commitment to responsible citizenship. Our endeavour is to ensure that education prepares students not merely to succeed in their chosen careers but also to become thoughtful leaders, innovative entrepreneurs and constructive contributors to society.
