Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) was started in the year 2018 to jointly run various Platforms/Programs at JNNCE with the Support of various Govt. Departments & agencies, Universities, Institutions, Industries, Startups, NES Management, JNNCE Faculty, Alumni & Students. CIE aims to create innovation, startup & Entrepreneurial ecosystem at JNNCE and in & around Shivamogga by providing all the required facilities like incubation support, startup space, Mentors connection, Support on IPR & Startup Registration, Investors Connection, assistance in building Business plan, Financial Projection, team building, product launch, marketing, scale-up etc. Startup Ecosystem is inevitable to nation economy growth. Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are the one who will contribute more to startup ecosystem and entrepreneurship spirit. CIE also provides platform to setup Development Centers & Centers of Excellence by various startups, Industries, Agencies & MNCs at JNNCE Campus. We have Platforms like NewGen IEDC, NAIN Centre, JNNRIC, CART, TBI and initiatives like JNNCE-MHRD Institution’s Innovation Council, Intellectual Property Cell (IP Cell), Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), Industry Institution Partnership Cell (IIPC Cell), Technology Activities & Programs (TAP), NAIN Creative Club. Also, we have Startups and Development Centers of various companies in the campus. 

The Goal of CIE is encouraging students & project teams to register at least 10 startups by end of 2019, 25 startups by 2020 and 100 by 2025 with job generation of at least 100, 250, 1000 respectively by 2019, 2020, 2025 with revenue of Rs.10 crore, Rs.25 crore,  Rs.100 crore respectively by 2019, 2020, 2025.
