About the Department:

One of the pioneering Management Educational set ups offering post-graduation in Business Administration, Department of Management Studies has carved a niche in the Management education scenario of Malnad region of Karnataka. The department was started in 1996 and is at the glorious 25th year of its academic excellence.

VTU Research Centre - Initiatives

VTU Research Centre in the Department of Management was started in the year 2006 with provision for Ph.D. (Full Time / Part Time).Since then the research facility is available for research scholars to carry out research in their specific area. Students and research scholars are encouraged to take up inter disciplinary research in various domains like Customer Relationship Management, Strategic Brand Management, Financial Institutions, Mutual Funds, Health Insurance, Financial Management in Agri-farming, Management Control System, Digital Marketing, Micro-finance, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Rural Tourism, Online Marketing, Consumerismetc. The researchcentre is open to carry out innovative research in the area of Management. Five faculty members out of Twelve members in the department are guiding Ph.D. students in various areas of Management. Open Seminars for Research Scholars are conducted at regular intervals to assess the Research Progress of the Scholars.
