1. Meritorious Awards

The Management – National Education Society is encouraging meritorious students byinstituting Cash Awards for excelling in the University examinations. These awards are based on the aggregate score in the academic year as follows.
  • Cash Award of Rs. 25,000/ for securing SGPA of 9.5 and above
  • Cash Award of Rs. 5,000/ for securing SGPA of 9.0 to 9.5
  • Cash Award of Rs. 1000/ for securing SGPA of 8.5 to 8.99
For students securing CET rank less than 1000 will receive cash award of Rs. 10000. The studentwill receive this for next three years if the student maintains top 5 positions in the consecutivenext three years.
Also, Students representing VTU in sports are awarded with a cash award of Rs. 2000/ for their achievement in sports.
These cash awards will be distributed to meritorious students during Annual Day Celebration –JANVEY.

2. Distinguished Outgoing Student Award 2019

The Distinguished Outgoing Student Awards are presented annually by the Institute. Each awardee will be given cash of Rs.1000/‐.
Will receive the nominations for the Distinguished Outgoing Student Awards.Call for nominations will be circulated every year. The selection is done by a committee appointed by the Principal. The awards are presented during“GrandauntsDay” held around mid‐May each year. The nominations are received under the following categories:

  • Category A - Academic Excellence

    Award title: JNNCE Academic Excellence Award

    1. Academic achievements with scores in 1stsem to 7thsem Semester UG course which is compared against the scores by previous year VTU rank holders.
    2. The top 2 scorers in the institution will be eligible for the award.

  • Category B - Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurial Excellence


    Award title: JNNCE Young Innovator and Entrepreneur Award

    1. Proposals on Innovative ideas submitted ( 5 points for every idea submitted)inapplication of technology, design & development products and such proposals that has been selected for further development of products / services ( 15 points for every ide developed )
    2. Project Proposals submitted to NAIN , Innovation and Entrepreneur cell ( 5 points for every idea submitted )and subsequent to the proposal submission , these ideas may be selected for development of products / services ( 15 points for every ide developed )
    3. Any product / services that has benefitted the society
    4. Top 2 awardees may be awarded in the category

  • Category C –Top scorer in Mathematics in 1st& 2nd year Engineering

    Award title: JNNCE Ramanujan Award

    1. Top scorer in Mathematics in 1st to 4th semester engineering.
    2. The average score of the 4 semesters is considered.
    3. Top 2 scorers will be eligible for the award

  • Category D –Sports Excellence

    Award Title: JNNCE KhelRatna Award

    Significant number of medals won in various platforms. The scores for every accomplishment is as below. Two students who have the scored the highest scores will be eligible for the award Represented and won in

    1. National level – 25 points for every medal or representation
    2. VTU prizes – 15 points for every medal won
    3. Intercollegiate level – 10 points for every medal won
    4. JNNCE sports day – 5 points for every medal won
    5. Held a captain / vice‐captain of the team represented by the college – 10 points

  • Category E– Cultural Excellence, Contribution to Society and Alma Mater

    Award Title: JNNCE Kala Ratna Award

    Significant number of medals won in various platforms. The scores for every accomplishment is as below. Two students who have the scored the highest scores will be eligible for the award Represented and won in

    1. National level – 25 points for every medal or representation
    2. VTU prizes – 15 points for every medal won
    3. Intercollegiate level – 10 points for every medal won
    4. JNNCE Cultural events / JANVEY / Dept cultural events – 5 points for every medal won /program organized
    5. Held a captain / vice‐captain of the team represented by the college – 10 points
    6. Contribution to Alma Mater – 30 points

  • Category F – Overall Excellence in academics, sports, and all other fields

    The Distinguished Outgoing Student Awards are presented annually by the Institute and is instituted by Mr.VinayKaul, Principal Lead & Advisor, WW ISV & OEM, Oracle India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore and JNNCE Alumni 2004 batch, Civil Engg. Award is cash of Rs.5000/‐ for one student under the following category:

    Award Title: JNNCE Paripurna Award

    Student must have scored the best marks throughout the academics and must be an allrounder. She/ He must have actively participated and significantly contributed in projects sports, academics, cultural activities and so on. Please specify the category(i.e) for which you are nominating the Outgoing Student .

    Please include a one page writeup along with the scores (wherever applicable), photograph (optional) and supporting documents (optional) of the Outgoing Student you are nominating for the award.

3. Special Awards

These awards will be distributed during Annual Day Celebration – JANVEY.
• Prashant Memorial Award: This award is constituted by the parents of Mr. Prashanth, Alumni of M.Tech (Design) in the name of Mr. Prashanth. This will be awarded to the Best outgoing student of M.Tech(Design).
• Partha Sarathi Award: This award will be given to Best Outgoing Civil Engg student.
• Best outgoing Student Award: This award is given to the Best Outgoing student of every department. The nominations are taken from the department. The selection based on the all‐round performance of the students.
